Q01, The First Capability Engineering Platform

Whoever runs an initiative needs to know where the work stands, why certain decisions were made and who is doing what, even when AI agents are part of the team. Q01 is the platform we use to keep all of this together in our programs.

What changes for whoever leads an initiative

Four things Q01 makes easier

  • Finding context and decisions

Goals, documents, choices and the knowledge produced stay on the platform, organized, instead of being scattered across tools and conversations. Anyone joining the project, even months later, can see where things stand.

  • Getting people and AI agents to work together

People and agents work on the same context. Each agent has its own identity and workspace, so it is always clear who did what.

  • Agree first, review after

Goals, responsibilities and resources are agreed before building. Delivered work, from people or agents, is reviewed according to the rules set in the program.

  • Supporting ongoing development

After release, what was built stays looked after: it can be changed, improved and released again through the same process as needs evolve.

Some features for larger organizations, such as access management, traceability, data portability and cost control, are still being consolidated. Architecture and product details are on q01.io.

Where Q01 comes from

Built for software, shaped by our programs

Q01 started as an Internal Developer Platform, a layer between developers and infrastructure, and then grew into a Platform Engineering platform. With AI agents and our program experience, the question broadened: beyond building software, we needed to help organizations retain and develop what they are able to do. Q01 is evolving in that direction.

Where to start

Three common situations

  • Startups

Building a product on solid ground

Start with shared environments and rules, without reinventing the infrastructure at every step.

  • SMEs and software companies

    Renewing what you already have

Move existing applications to an architecture better suited to their future, chosen case by case.

  • Large organizations

Introducing AI in an orderly way

Try AI agents on new initiatives, with clear rules, context and responsibilities.
